
HOW TO GET NALOXONE
Pharmacy
If you have Medicaid or Private insurance, you do not need a prescription to obtain naloxone. Go to your pharmacy and ask the pharmacist for naloxone. You may need to provide your co-pay. You may not get to choose what type (nasal or injectable) that you will receive.

Treatment is not one size fits all, and everyone’s path is different.
Substance use disorder is a treatable health condition. If you have substance use disorder you should learn about the options for treatment, and choose the option that feels best. You may have to try a few treatments before you find the one for you. Don’t give up. Be informed, be open minded, be flexible, and be kind to yourself as you find out what works.
